5/8 Inch 14KT Gold Round St. Francis Medal, Patron Saint of Animals

5/8 inch polished and satin finish 14kt gold St. Francis medal. The medal is round and features a raised depiction of St. Francis in the center, who is shown experiencing the vision where he saw a "seraph with the crucified image of Christ" and received the stigmata . Around the outer edge of the pendant in a polished finish gold border are the words, "Saint Francis Pray For Us". The back of the medal is blank with a polished finish (photograph of the back of medal will be added in the future) and can be engraved with three lines of text. Saint Francis is the Patron Saint of animals, merchants, and ecology. He was an Italian friar who lived in Italy during the 13th century, living a life of ascetic poverty (the practice of the denial of physical and psychological desires in order to attain a spiritual goal).
